Applying mask at least once to two times a week is a great tip for better looking skin. But, applying more than one type of mask is a greater tip! Multi-masking is basically the concept of applying different types of masks on areas of your face to target specific issues using the right mask for them. Sometimes you feel like the mask you’re using to control your oils in the T-Zone is drying the rest of your face out, especially if you have combination skin like me! I hated when my skin got dry after masks, so, I decided to try the multi-masking trend and it has actually become my new favourite beauty routine!
Recommended Products To Apply to T-Zone:
Even if you are a person with dryer skin, the T zone is usually a problematic area for everyone. It usually has clogged or large pores, it gets the most oily and isn’t as pure as the rest of your face. For that, using a detoxifying or purifying face mask would be best to help minimise the appearance of pores and combat breakouts.
- Caudalie Instant Detox Mask (perfect for enlarged or clogged pores)
- Lush Mask of Magnaminty (perfect for skin with breakouts)
- L’areal Pure-Clay mask Purify and Mattify Treatment Mask (perfect for oily skin)
Recommended Products to Apply to Cheeks and Around the Mouth:
I don’t know about you but I find that I get the driest at my cheeks and around my mouth so I like to apply a hydrating face mask. If you have laugh lines, a moisturising mask can also help minimise their appearance since it also has a plumping effect to the skin.
- The Body Shop Vitamin E Sink in Moisture Mask
- Caudalie Moisturising Mask
- Lush Oatifix Mask
Recommended Products to Apply to Outer Parameter of Face or Cheeks:
On days when you are not feeling as dry, you still want a certain luminosity to your skin and a healthy glow. Radiance masks are the best to apply to your cheeks when they are not that dry and to the outer parameters of your face for a glowing complexion.
- L’oreal Detox and Brighten Pure-Clay Mask
- GlamGlow Flashmud Brightening Treatment
- Clinique Turnaround Revitalising Instant Facial
And that is a three step multi-masking routine! After reading so much about it, I finally decided to try out this trend for myself and I am actually very glad I did. It is not a rule to apply your face mask all over your face, the rule is actually not to! Just apply the right mask to the right areas and you are good to go!
I hope these tips help you like they helped me!
